Dooms Day
Today is the day I took my HESI test. It's an entrance exam for nursing school. I've been a little nervous about it because I haven't been in school in awhile. I've studied my eyes out and then some to cram as much info as I could into my brain. It worked...for the most part. I did excellent on ever part of the test except math. Go figure. It wasn't my strongest subject in high school either. So there will be a refresher course tomorrow with an instructor and I will re-take the math part again next week. I only need to bring it up a few percentage points to get to where I need to be. I hope this goes better next week. I'm so ready to start the road to a better life.

Big Changes Ahead
So, This is my first entry in my very first blog. A lot of things are about to change in my life, but in the end, it will all be for the better. I've taken the plunge and will start nursing school in August. I'm excited and so nervous at the same time. My biggest concern is if I'm actually smart enough to do it.
I'm going to have to put off riding while I'm in school because I'll be going 5 days a week on top of working full time. I'll miss it more than I think I even realize, but after these 18 months are over, I'll be on the path to owning my own horse, a dream I've had since early childhood. I'll still be able to go to some local shows on the weekends to get my fix.
I know I'm about to embark on a journey that's going to take 110% of my time, ability, concentration, and determination to finish. But I will have a career that I believe I will thoroughly enjoy that will support my addiction to horses. I can't wait to get it started.
